Pilates Community Raises More Than $7,000 For Ukraine
Pilates teachers and students who took place in Pilates Unites For Ukraine raised more than $7,000 for "Ternopil Municipal City Hospital No2,” a hospital located on the territory of western Ukraine.
Pilates Unites For Ukraine is a community fundraiser initiated by Kathi Ross-Nash and supported by Tracy Belcher of Pilatay
The fundraiser kicked off on Sunday, March 20 with a class hosted by Kathi Ross-Nash, and concludes on Thursday, April 7 with a class hosted by Blossom Leilani Crawford.
Pilates teachers around the world joined the fundraiser by hosting classes in their own communities from March 20 - April 7.
Kateryna Smirnova, Ukrainian-born trainer master with Lolita’s Legacy, collected donations and distributed them directly to “Ternopil Municipal City Hospital No2.” The hospital provides desperately-needed operative and post-operative care for victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In a letter appealing for medical supplies and donations, Hospital Director Rostyslav Levchuk said, “We hope for your support at this difficult time for Ukraine to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty.” (Read the full letter here)
