How To Emerge From The Holiday Hangover
The holidays are great, but they can really throw you off of your routine. Here are some tips for getting back on track and feeling like yourself again after a holiday weekend.
Be kind to yourself
If you were able to get a little movement in during your holiday, great. If you spent the time gorging on pie and enjoying your family, great. That’s what the holidays are for! Just don’t beat yourself up.
Book your classes
Book your weekly workouts starting with class on Monday, if possible. Mondays set the tone for the week. And, you are more likely to make it to a class if you reserve your spot (nothing is more motivating than the threat of a late cancel late charge amiright!)

Meal prep
Get your groceries and plan your meals. If you don’t have time to do actual prepping, you can still plan for how you will get back on track. Holiday foods, while delicious and oh so good for the soul, can really take a tole on your digestive system, and may have you feeling sluggish and swollen, especially if you are not used to them. Thank your tummy for putting up with your holiday shenanigans by having on hand whatever foods fuel you and make you feel energized and healthy.
Prep for the morning
Whether it means getting the laundry done and laying out your clothes, prepping your green drink so that it is ready to blend, or packing your gym bag, set yourself up for a stress-free morning!
Plan a relaxing evening
Sunday night sets the tone for Monday morning. Whatever your best nightly routine is - getting the house cleaned and in order, relaxing at the end of the night with a good book, or maybe a little meditation - make it a priority.
Go to bed on time
Everyone’s body is different, and some of us need more sleep than others. Whatever your best schedule is, get enough sleep so you can wake up and take on the week.
